What is DegreeTreeFree?
DegreeTreeFree is a project created by Jeremy S. Endsley in 2023 that allows you to chart your own unique path to learning by browsing an extensive catalog of majors covering various educational pathways, general education, and niche interests. I've compiled general education and core major courses so you can get an approximation of an actual college degree without spending a dime.
You can explore a variety of free and paid online courses tailored to your interests offered by an array of educational content providers and easily find relevant classes by searching and filtering by major and topic. Chart multiple learning paths by creating playlists for different subjects you want to study. Mix and match courses from various universities and learning platforms for a diverse education.

With thousands of free and paid online classes on different platforms, tracking what you want to learn and where takes time. And, with tuition increasing all the time, getting a degree is harder than ever. DegreeTree allows you to take control of your learning and study what you want at your own pace. Explore subjects that pique your curiosity or gain new skills to help your career. Our ever-expanding major catalog enables you to cobble together your own ad-hoc curriculum without the time or financial commitment of formal university enrollment. In future versions, I hope to add the ability to build your customized degree roadmap by adding courses to your MyCourses list. While you can't save your course list yet, you can bookmark individual courses for future reference using a web browser or via the content provider.
